A Picturesque Neighborhood With A Thriving Culture & Excellent Walkability. Close to Downtown, Great Restaurants, Parks, & Lady Bird Lake!
The Holly neighborhood has boundaries of Chicon to the west, Pleasant Valley to the east, 7th to the north, and Lady Bird Lake to the south.
This is a very popular area because of its close proximity to downtown as well as the lake, Fiesta Gardens, the Rainey district, hike & bike trails, and the development of a new park. There are also quite a few popular restaurants located on Cesar Chavez to check out including Veracruz All Natural (my favorite fish taco!), Jacoby’s Restaurant & Mercantile, Bufalina Pizza, Counter Culture, Cenote, and Juan In a Million and their infamous Don Juan taco!
This area generally consists of pier & beam cottages built prior to the 50’s. But, a lot of changes have been happening and there has been an influx of new construction in the area. It’s not surprising to see new modern architecture homes next to older cottages around here. There has been a lot of remodeling of existing structures as well. Because of this the pricing in the neighborhood can vary widely, from the mid $200’s for a small fixer upper cottage to new modern construction home or extensive remodel for $600k and more. This is a great place to look if convenience & walkability is important, and proximity to downtown is essential.
